X Games 16 dates announced

The X Games 17 dates have been announced for 2011, with this year’s event being held in Los Angeles from July 28 to 31.

Specific competition venues and event schedules will be announced at a later date.

The X Games features athletes from all across the globe to compete in a variety of sports like motocross, skateboarding, BMX and rally car racing.

The X Games has a number of motocross events that run every year including: Moto X Freestyle, Super X, Moto X Adaptive, Moto X Freestyle, Moto X Step Up, Moto X Best Trick and Moto X Speed and Style.

During the 2010 coverage X Games Aussie FMX pro, Cam Sinclair, won a gold medal in the Moto X Best Trick event, scoring a 94.33. Travis Pastrana took another crack at motocross and walked away with gold in the Moto X Freestyle and the Speed and Style events.

X Games 17 will once again be covered live on TV via ESPN and online through ESPN.com, XGames.com and ESPN3.com.

Last years X Games was delivered to more than 392 million homes and was broadcast live to 175 countries and territories and it’s increasing in popularity each year and action sports move into mainstream media and get greater attention and coverage from across the globe.
