World’s longest scooter…

The world’s longest scooter can seat 25 passengers.

According to the Guinness World Records, the longest motorbike in the world is 14 meters long. An English plumber, Colin Furze, already holds the record for the fastest mobility scooter, which reaches speeds at 114km. Now he is attempting to break the record for the world’s longest scooter.

He purchased his scooter for around €3000 — which is the equivalent of $4206 Australian dollars — and used one-and-a-half 125cc mopeds and an extended aluminium frame to build this hyper-extended two-wheeled beast. It can seat 25 passengers.

To pass the scooter into the Guinness World records, Colin had to ride it 100 meters, but he wasn’t content with that and rode it over a mile. Admittedly only Furze was on the scooter when he broke the record.

“When I first got on it I thought it would never work and at a slow speed it’s almost impossible to keep upright. But once you get going it becomes a bit easier, although it is a real strain on your arms as it has such heavy steering”.

Amazingly, he managed to get the bike up to 56km.
