Cam Sinclair to contest X-Fighters at Sydney’s Cockatoo Island

Three time X Games medalist Cam Sinclair will be a last minute inclusion into this weekend’s Red Bull X-Fighters finale on Sydney’s Cockatoo Island.

Sinclair made the decision to take some time out from Freestyle Motocross competition, to spend time with his newborn daughter, Lotti. However an injury sustained by fellow Aussie competitor, Rob Adelberg, left an opening for his last minute inclusion.

Admittedly under-prepared, Sinclair is extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete once again in the biggest Freestyle Motocross Championship Tour in the world.

“Lotti was due to be born this weekend so I hadn’t even planned to go to Sydney for X-Fighters, but now that she’s here early, both Brooke and her will be flying up to watch,” said Sinclair. “I’m looking forward to competing in front of her for the first time!”

“I have only really just been getting back into riding recently, so I’m definitely out of practise to compete with the best in the world in Sydney, but I’ll give it my best shot and try to do the Aussies proud,” he added.

Sinclair’s last official X-Fighters appearance was at the same event last year in Sydney. In 2009, he famously landed the first double back-flip at an X-Fighters event and the first in a full 90 second FMX run in Fort Worth, Texas in 2009, finishing the event in 3rd.

In between competing in this weekend’s competition, fans will have the opportunity to get up close Cam at the Coates Hire merchandise stand, where he’ll be signing autographs throughout the day.
