Australia’s Dean Ferris breaks wrist?

Word on the street is that Australia’s Dean Ferris, currently riding for the Red Bull KTM squad in the US, has busted his wrist, and may be forced to sit out the 2014 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.
Ferris recently returned to Australia while the Western Regional SX series takes its mid-season break to get his Visa sorted out for the year ahead.
Transmoto sources tell us that Ferris injured his wrist during a training incident on Monday, and has already gone under the knife to repair the damage.
This year’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross series was meant to be a learning experience for Ferris, leading him into his 2014 MX campaign as a serious title contender. If the rumour is true, it’ll be a huge disappointment for the young Aussie and moto fans Down Under – especially after his stellar performance at last year’s MXoN.
We contacted Ferris this morning for comment, and we’re awaiting his return call to confirm details. Stay tuned for updates.
