Product Spotlight: Scott SXII Lock-On Grips

1 year ago | Words: Andy Wigan

It’s curious that ODI has had a stranglehold on lock-on grips for motorcycles for many years – especially when you consider that lock-on grips have long been produced by a bunch of brands for mountain bikes. Which is exactly why market-leading grip manufacturer, Scott, has decided to add the all-new SXII Lock-On Grips to their existing range – joining a select group of brands that now make lock-on grips for dirt bikes, such as ODI, Pro Grip, Pro Taper and Torc.

Here’s a snapshot of the features that, according to Scott, make their new SXII Lock-On Grips the ultimate must-have…

Scott’s brand new SXII Lock-On Grips are the result of decades of the trusted brand’s experience and technical know-how in making market-leading motocross grips. They use the latest cutting-edge materials and manufacturing processes to create a motocross grip that offers all the control and comfort you need, while also making installation a breeze.

Using our tried and trusted SXII diamond rubber pattern, combined with vibration-reducing construction, the SXII Lock-On grips will take rider control to the next level and provide a premium riding experience for any level of rider. These grips offer riders the same pro-level performance as Scott’s traditional grips, with the extra benefit of quick and easy installation.

STANDOUT FEATURES…

IMPROVED SAFETY: Thanks to their premium alloy clamps, the Lock-On Grips will stay in place no matter what. Once locked in place, there is no chance of the grips slipping on the handlebar.

VIBRATION REDUCTION: Vibration reduction in the clutch-side Lock-On Grip is achieved through the strategically windowed core. The window is positioned so that it is in line with rider’s hand when in the riding position. Even though you can’t feel the window when mounted on a handlebar, the soft material which fills out the window greatly reduces vibrations compared to a standard solid core.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION: There is no need for safety wire or messy grip glue. There are 24 locking points, offering maximum options to place the grips in exactly the position you like. Installation is super-fast and there is no time-wasting while you wait for glue to dry after installation. Simply lock on and ride!

CAM COMPATIBILITY: They are supplied with multiple throttle assembly cam sets to fit the most common models of dirt bike. Simply select the right cam for your bike from the Scott Cam Compatibility Table, install it, and you’re ready to go.

PREMIUM RUBBER: By using Scott’s tried and tested SXII rubber grip pattern, the Scott Lock-On Grips offer riders maximum control and longevity in all conditions.
