VIDEO REVIEW: GAERNE SG22 BOOTS

2 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Xenial, Andy Wigan

A year back, we brought you a comprehensive review on Gaerne’s then top-of-the-line SG12 boot, and it’s fair to say we were pretty damn positive about the things. But not everyone felt the same way about these high-end, Italian-made specimens – especially those with wide feet. And wide-hoofed riders is exactly why Gaerne recently released an all-new top-of-the-line model, the SG22.

So, can Gaerne’s new top-of-the-line SG22 boot ever hope to emulate the cult status its predecessor, the SG12, has enjoyed for years? Or does the SG22 actually improve on the much-revered SG12? After six months of using and abusing both Italian-made moto kicks, here’s what we can tell you about which model suits whom, and why.

For an even more comprehensive insight into what we thought about Gaerne’s latest moto boots, check out our recent Product Review on the SG22s.
