VIDEO REVIEW: ARAI TOUR-X5 HELMET

At $1200-$1300, Arai’s all-new Tour-X5 adventure helmet ain’t cheap. But is it good value for money? And how exactly has this completely redesigned, three-in-one lid improved on its long-standing and super-popular predecessor, Arai’s Tour-X4?

As we concluded in our recent ‘Products We Rate’ written review on Arai’s new Tour-X5 helmet, “the Tour-X5 improves on its predecessor in every respect (protection, fit, comfort, airflow control, vision, quality of finish, looks and added features) and has proved to be the best adventure helmet we’ve ever tested. It’s a premium product at a premium price, and offers excellent value for money.”

But flowery words aside, let’s take a look at this landmark Arai in the flesh; to help bring to life the Tour-X5’s key design elements and standout features, and to make a few suggestions about how we reckon the 70-year-old Japanese helmet specialist could make it even better…
