Product Spotlight: Leatt 5.5 Flexlock Enduro Boot

3 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan

Leatt’s top-of-the-line 5.5 FlexLock Boot is the end result of an extensive development program in collaboration with Leatt’s Pro athletes all around the world. And not long into the boot’s three-year R&D process, the Leatt team identified the need for an enduro-specific boot. So, with the input and help of renowned hard enduro racer, Jonny Walker, the boot is now available with a special, grippy sole to help when pushing the bike in slippery surfaces. It’s called the 5.5 FlexLock Enduro Boot.

Leatt has evidently put a lot of work into the Flexlock boot’s looks and style, but the design brief also focused strongly on both comfort and protection. Hence the plush interior and the adjustable FlexLock system, which reduces forces to the ankle by up to 37% and the knee by up to 35%. It achieves this by locking out ankle movement when over-flexed, giving you that added feeling of security. Then there’s the clever little touches – such as the ankle impact foam, heel grip design, and extended footpeg riding zone – and the groundbreaking SlideLock Velcro function use to fasten the boots’ cuffs.

Let’s take a closer look at the features of this new set of enduro-specific kicks from Leatt…
