What parameter changes can I make within the app?

Here’s a detailed look at what you can change on your SX1 PRO ECU within the WiGET App.

Access to Factory Maps
View and select pre-installed Factory Maps for your motorcycle. Including Factory Maps for snappy or soft engine characteristics and sandy, hard pack, or wet riding conditions.

Fuel Mapping
Customize the fuel injection parameters across different RPM ranges and throttle positions. This allows you to optimize the fuel-air mixture for varying riding conditions.

Ignition Timing
Adjust the timing of the spark plug firing to improve power delivery and efficiency. Fine-tuning ignition timing can enhance throttle response and reduce engine knock.

Rev Limiters
Define the maximum engine RPM to protect the engine from over-revving. This is particularly useful for riders who want to ensure longevity and reliability.

Throttle Response
Customize how quickly the throttle responds to inputs. This can make the bike feel more aggressive or more manageable, depending on your preference.

Traction Control Settings
Adjust the level of intervention from the traction control system to suit different riding surfaces and conditions.

Launch Control Settings

Fan Control Settings
Inside the WiGET app you can activate your fan to your desired temperature level.  This is the temperature at which the radiator fan will turn on to cool the engine.

Engine RPM
Monitor the engine’s RPM in real-time, which is crucial for performance tuning and ensuring the engine operates within safe limits.

Throttle Position
View throttle position in real-time to ensure accurate throttle position readings.
Quickly and easily calibrate your throttle position

Engine, Air & Water Temperatures
Keep an eye on the Engine, Air & Water temperature to prevent overheating and ensure optimal performance.
Includes Barometric Pressure and Inlet Air Pressure.

Battery Voltage
Track the motorcycle’s battery voltage to ensure it is within a healthy range, preventing electrical issues.

Maintenance & Alerts
Keep track of maintenance logs and receive alerts and diagnostic codes for any issues detected by the ECU. This helps in troubleshooting and maintaining the bike.

How do I safely customise a map within the WiGET app?
There are several reasons to customize a factory map within your SX1 PRO ECU. Whether you’re tuning for enhanced engine performance or for greater reliability and peace of mind, fine adjustments can make a significant difference.

For instance, if you own a current generation 450 EXC-F and primarily ride single-trail enduro, but have signed up for a local desert race this year, you will need to adjust the air and fuel mixture, especially at high RPMs, to handle the additional heat and stress on the engine.

Custom “Desert” ECU Map Example:

Calibrate and Zero Throttle Position Sensor

• Within the app, zero your throttle position for accurate readings.
• The TPS communicates the position of the throttle to the engine control unit
(ECU), which adjusts the air-fuel mixture accordingly. Proper calibration ensures the engine receives the correct mixture, resulting in better performance.

Create a custom “Desert” map.

• Using the Factory Map as a base, duplicate the map and rename to “Desert”.

Access your custom map and select the ‘FI MAP1’ (Fuel Injection) settings.

• Within the settings you can increase/decrease the amount of fuel delivered to the engine based on Engine RPM (X Axes) & Throttle Position% (Y Axes)

Adjust RPM Range

• Click any RPM value to make an adjustment. Use the arrows to increase or decrease in increments of 250. I.E from 7500pm to 8250pm shown.

Adjust Throttle Position %

• Click any TP% value to make an adjustment. Use the arrows to increase or decrease in increments of 1%. I.E from 40% to 65% shown.

Adjust Fuel Injection

• Click any baseline value (0%) to make an adjustment. Use the arrows to increase or decrease in increments of 0.5%. I.E from 0% to +5% shown.

Can I accidently tune my engine to unsafe levels?

The WiGET device app is designed to allow you to adjust the engine settings and other performance parameters easily and conveniently.  Parameters within the app are pre-set and won’t allow you to unsafely tune your motorcycle.  GET engineers and technicians created pre-set configurations which are tested for safe operation.  The app restricts the range of adjustment within these parameters to prevent users from making extreme changes that could damage the engine.

The WiGET app provides real-time data monitoring (when stationary), allowing you to see the impact of your adjustments immediately.
