Jackson Richardson is Back Racing SX

Two-time Australian Supercross Champion, Jackson Richardson, has announced he will race as a privateer in the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship. Here’s the official from his management team, Owpline Group…
Jackson Richardson sat out of the MX Nationals this year but will compete in the Australian Supercross Championship SX1 category, stepping up from SX2 where he won the category in 2016, 2017 and finished fifth overall last year. “I’m really excited for the Australian Supercross Championship, I genuinely think this is the biggest championship we have had in almost a decade with competitors traveling from all over the world,” Richardson said of his upcoming season. He went on to say, “This year I’ve been very fortunate to work with some of my closest friends and family, I am grateful for all my sponsors, team and supporters that have come on board this supercross series, it has been a huge effort and is very much appreciated.” Richardson has been living in the United States for the past few months training, before returning to Cairns, Qld, to prepare for the start of the five-round Australian Supercross Championship. “My pre-season training has been really solid and most importantly really fun, I chose to sit out the Mx Nationals which really gave me time to focus on our Australian Supercross Championship”, said Richardson. “I spent months in the United States testing with XPR and getting as much seat time as possible but I’m over the moon to be back home here in Australia and I can’t wait to rip the lid off it.”

The opening round will be held in Brisbane this coming weekend, then South Australia and Wollongong before heading over to New Zealand for the Auckland event and back to home soil for the finale in Melbourne.
Richardson’s 2019 Campaign will be supported by Rockstar Energy Drink, Just1 Racing, FIST Handwear, Richardson Building Services, Knobby Underwear, KMC Wheels, Michelin, Maxima Oils, Cairns Hardware, Honda Motorcycles Australia, Honda Genuine Parts, CVRD Canopies, Uni Filter, XPR Engines, Performance Worx Coatings, and Rival Ink.

Round 1 of the Australia Supercross Championship will be held on Saturday, October 12, at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, with tickets available for purchase at www.australiansupercross.com.au
