KTM’s 2015 Mini Bike Range
As 2015-model MXers appear online around this time of year, a category that’s often overlooked is the Mini Bike division. Here, we outline some of the major changes that have been made to KTM’s 50SX, 65SX and 85SX models for 2015.
2015 UPGRADES
- The 50SX get revised carb settings, a new reed valve, and new Maxxis tyres.
- The 65SX gets a new reed valve, an optimised ignition curve for smoother delivery, an all-new shock absorber (with high- and low-speed compression adjustment), a modified frame to accommodate the new shock, and new Maxxis tyres.
- The 85SX is fitted with an all-new, high-performance cylinder with revised power-valve and porting, new swingarm and chain guide, new Maxxis tyres, and a fresh graphics kit.
For 2015, the 50SX Mini receives an RRP increase of $1000, the 50SX and 65SX receive an RRP increase of $300 and the 85SX models (Big-Wheel and Small-Wheel) receive an RRP increase of $500.
“Since the launch of the 2014 model range, the Aussie Dollar has devalued as much as 20 percent against the Euro,” said KTM Australia’s General Manager, Jeff Leisk. “This weaker rate of exchange has impacted on the RRP of our 2015 off-road range, which has seen comparatively modest increases of around five percent on MX models and eight percent on the enduro range. With affordability in mind, KTM Australia has absorbed the currency devaluation as much as possible to ensure our retail prices remain competitive.”
