KTM Announces 2015 Model Prices
In recent years, KTM’s MX and enduro models have been competitively priced against their rivals on dealer floors in Oz. In fact, with price cuts for many of KTM’s MX models in 2013, and frozen RRPs for 2014, you could even argue that the Austrian-made machines have been aggressively priced in Australia. But, as KTM Australia’s General Manager Jeff Leisk explained, when he contacted Transmoto this week, RRPs are set to change for the 2015 machines.
“Since the launch of the 2014 model range, the Aussie Dollar has devalued by as much as 20 percent against the Euro,” says Leisk. “This weaker rate of exchange has impacted on the RRP of our 2015 off-road range, which has seen comparatively modest increases of around five percent on MX models and eight percent on the enduro range. With affordability in mind, KTM Australia has absorbed the currency devaluation as much as possible to ensure our retail prices remain competitive.
“As always, KTM continues to offer increased levels of value with F1-inspired Pankl engine components, increasing engine life and performance on our four-stroke models, and the relentless ongoing development of our iconic two-stroke models, making them the performance leaders in their respective classes,” Leisk went on to say.
In terms of cold, hard cash, the percentage changes that Leisk refers to translate into a $500-$700 increase for the 2015 motocross bikes and $1000 for the enduro models (except the 250EXC-F, which gets a $1500 hike). See the accompanying table for pricing details of all KTM’s 2015 models.
