Sneak Peek: 2016 Husqvarna MX Bikes

The “reveal” of Aleksandr Tonkov’s race bike three months ago indicated that the 2016 models from Husqvarna would be new-generation machines, and incorporate much of the new frame and engine technology recently released on KTM’s 2016-model MXers. So, were those indications true? Today’s teaser announcement, posted below, suggests we were right. Here’s what we extrapolated three months ago (note that everything is on the money). The one thing we didn’t make guesses about was the suspension. Unlike the 2016 KTM motocrossers, it appears WP’s 4CS fork will be fitted to both American and European-spec Huskys.

Announcing the imminent arrival of their 2016 motocross models, Husqvarna has offered a first look at what is to come from their totally new, next generation line-up of motocross machines.

Building on over a century of motorsport heritage and Swedish-inspired design, the new motocross models are claimed to mark a ground breaking milestone in the arrival of premium motocross bikes.

From August 3-8 the world’s off-road media (including Transmoto) will descend upon the US motocross track of Budds Creek for the official 2016 Husqvarna model introduction. Around this iconic track we’ll discover and enjoy the technical and aesthetic benefits of Husqvarna’s totally new machines.

For MY16 Husqvarna’s engineers, in cooperation with its motorsport department, have completely redesigned the chassis from the ground up. In the engine department, the FC450, FC350, FC250 and TC125 see performance boosting developments and improvements.

A compact, sleek design ensures Husqvarna’s 2016 motocross models have distinctive and futuristic bodywork and graphics, with a Swedish-inspired pearl blue and electric yellow colour scheme.

Full details on the brand new 2016 Husqvarna motocross model range will be released on August 4, 2015.
