PUTTING THE DESERTX TO THE ULTIMATE TEST

Turkey’s TransAnatolia Rally Raid has quickly become one of the leading Rally Raid event in the world. Covering some 1700km, the event’s riders navigate by road book and race against time. Routes see riders passing through the ancient lands of the people of Anatolia, surrounded by panoramic vistas that nature has sculpted over an eternity, alongside civilisations and artefacts that date back centuries.

Over seven days in late August, atop the new Ducati DesertX, Murat Yazici proved both his and the DesertX’s Rally Raid capabilities by taking the top step in the B3 class (701cc to 1000cc). The bike itself performed extremely well in its first race outing and thoroughly showcased Ducati’s intentions in the off-road world. And we’ve got to say, the Duc is looking damn good in race trim! The event looks like more than a little bit of a good time, too. Who’s in for 2023?
