PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: ARAI TOUR-X5

2 years ago | Words: Matt Bernard | Photos: Arai

The Arai Tour-X5 adventure helmet is completely redesigned, boasting innovative features that put protection first – staying true to Arai’s mission of safety. This model brings us even closer to the ideal Arai shape for impact protection. A new colour has dropped for this epic helmet, dubbed ‘Trail Yellow’ which we are a big fan of here at Transmoto. Get some information on the Arai Tour-X5 below.

Key Updates

New VAS-A Visor System
Inspired by the RX-7V’s VAS-V system, the Tour-X5’s visor maximizes Glancing-Off performance—deflecting impact energy more effectively. The upgraded Max Vision visor improves visibility and accommodates a Pinlock insert for anti-fogging. Switching between Adventure, Off-road, and On-road styles is now tool-free and fast.

Enhanced Ventilation
The Tour-X5 introduces a revamped ventilation system, following the Quantic’s 3D logo duct. New additions include the AR Spoiler, Delta Duct 6, and an improved chin vent. Together, these elements ensure steady airflow to keep you cool. The inner vent gate directs air to the visor or mouth, improving defogging. True to Arai’s design philosophy, ventilation components are designed to break off during impacts to enhance safety.

Comfortable, Adjustable Interior
The fully removable interior includes an adjustable crown pad for a customized fit. The redesigned nose deflector makes goggle use easier, while FCS cheek pads provide a secure fit for both on- and off-road adventures.
