MXSTORE: WRECKERS TO CHECKERS EP.3

4 years ago | Words: Miller Mendham | Photos: MXstore

As the Wreckers To Checkers series continues, some outside trouble has occurred for Nigel as he went to ‘Endo-nesia’ on his pushy and has to use his ‘phone a friend’ to continue on, one handed.

Sleeter called in his own surprise guest to give his two cents on the CRF450R build.

Dylan is continuing to find more issues with his KX250.

And Mick remains all smiles as he washes his RM250 and continues to strip down the bike ready to be primed and painted.

This episode, Dylan is the only competitor to spend money, he found that his KX250 was in need of a top end rebuild, and potentially a new barrel or a thorough freshening up after he found deep scoring along the Nikasil coating.

Moving forward, the three boys’ budgets are:

  • Mick: $1,800
  • Nigel: $3,000
  • Dylan: $2,800

But as both Dylan and Nigel used a ‘phone a friend’, Mick continues the competition as the ‘wealthiest’ bike restorer.

As Andrew Short proclaims, all bikes are good in different aspects, this leaves the competition close. Who’s your pick for the winner of Wreckers To Checkers?
