Just days after signing a two-year deal with MAD Racing Dirt Candy Suzuki, powered by Yoshimura, to contest the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Australia’s Luke Clout suffered a broken right femur during practice at Oakland, the fourth round of the 2016 series.

Clout, the 2014 Australian MX Nationals MX2 champion, was originally slated to be a no more than a substitute rider for the team’s injured rider, Daniel Baker. He is now anticipated to miss the remainder of the 2016 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series.

“I am devastated because I was feeling really good having qualified seventh,” stated a disappointed Clout via social media.

Stay tuned for updates and developments on Clout’s injury.
