JOSH STRANG’S 2010 GNCC TITLE WIN

How good was it to see Australia’s Josh Strang take the win the final round of America’s premier off-road series, the GNCC, a few weeks back at Ironman Raceway in Indiana?! It capped off the humble Aussie’s 17^th season racing the GNCC in the USA in style, 13 years after he won the GNCC’s coveted No.1 plate in 2010! And this season’s Ironman win notched up Strang’s 25^th Overall victory – a milestone that elevates him to fifth in all-time GNCC wins.

According to comments Strang made in a recent Steve Matthes Show podcast, the Aussie off-road warrior doesn’t yet have a deal sorted for the 2024 season, but feels like he’s got a few more good racing years in him yet. All of which got us talking about the memorable interview Transmoto’s USA-based GNCC correspondents, Mark Kariya and Shan Moore, did with the 22-year-old Josh Strang back in 2010, as he homed in on his maiden GNCC title after already winning the opening four rounds of the season. It makes for fascinating reading!
