After Jonny Walker’s impressive win at Round 2 of the AMA Endurocross series a month ago with a 1-1-1 scorecard, the Beta rider put himself right back in the hunt at the 2022 AMA EnduroCross Series. So, let’s join the likeable 31-year-old Brit as he takes us backstage at the fourth round of the series in Arizona – offering a candid insight into his preparation, his race bike, his new gear, his first taste of the track’s rad obstacles, and the triple-header racing format itself. The footage is raw and a little shaky, but it’s a refreshingly honest take about what goes into endurocross racing at the elite level.
Spoiler alert: Jonny finished 4-1-7 for third Overall. A first-turn crash cost him dearly in that final race, but he still managed to climb to equal second place in the six-round 2022 AMA EnduroCross Series’ standings, with two rounds to go.
