Modern bikes are excellent straight out of the box, but manufacturers can’t make a perfect suspension setting for the wide range of riders who buy a new machine. If you are below or above the 75-80kg ‘sweet spot’ in weight, changing the fork and shock spring to suit your weight is crucial to getting your bike handling its best out on the trail or track.
