🎥 The Hippies’ Kid Goes Gypsy

7 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Deus Ex Machina/Harry Mark, Aaron Brimhall, Drew Martin

You’ve heard of Forrest Minchinton, right? No? C’mon … the stylin’ SoCal cat who was raised in the desert by a couple of hippie-cool parents. No? The dude who’s carved out a name for himself as both a surfboard shaper and dirt bike racer, and now travels the world doing both, playing Deus ambassador-of-steez while he’s at it.
Anyway, after winging it into Oz to race the Transmoto 12-Hour a couple of weeks back, 27-year-old Forrest Minchinton (and his good bro, Mark “Mad Chook” Cormack) swung by the Gypsy Tales’ podcast dungeon on the Gold Coast to talk shop, and shit, with Jase Macalpine. It’s a long but cool conversation, so check it out.
