Upgrades Revealed: Gas Gas 2018 2Ts

Spanish motorcycle manufacturer, Gas Gas, has announced a reinvented range of two-stroke models for 2018. The new enduro (EC) and cross-country (XC) models – all of which are claimed to weigh just 105kg (fluids, no fuel) – get revised chassis geometry, narrower and more compact ergos, and a torquier and more powerful powerplant (produced in 250cc and 300cc capacities) with electric start.
The new EC/XC models host a bunch of new or updated componentry, including a Kayaba fork and shock, a hydraulic Magura clutch, an FMF Powercore 2.1 silencer (manufactured exclusively for Gas Gas), a Keihin PWK 38 carburettor, Excel wheels with Metzeler Six Day Extreme tyres, and Nissan brakes (callipers and cylinders) that clamp on NG wave-style discs.
