FLATS: Premiere Screenings

10 years ago | Photos: Dean Walters

What’s this FLATS movie that everyone seems to be talking about? Well, three custom-built motorcycles, two good friends and a land-speed record pretty much sums it up. In 2015, Nigel Petrie and Dean Walters embarked on an epic roadtrip from Geelong in Victoria to South Australia in the pursuit of speed, and Matthew Cox documented the entire thing.

Tickets are on sale now for the premiere screenings of the one-hour-and-23-minute film that will take place in Brisbane (Friday, March 11), Sydney (Sunday, March 13) and Geelong (Sunday, March 20). The Melbourne premiere (taking place on Friday, March 18) is already sold out. At just $15 per ticket, believe us when we say that this epic viewing experience is worth every cent.

Watch the official trailer, and be sure to check out the “Salt Of The Earth” feature that was first published in Transmoto‘s 2015 September-October issue (#52). The interesting feature details Nigel’s decision to turn a KTM 350SX-F into his salt-racing weapon of choice, and will leave you with a burning desire to see more.

If you can’t make it to one of the premieres, the film will be available to purchase via Vimeo On Demand on Friday, March 25.
