EXPLORING HUSQVARNA’S 901 NORDEN: EP 3/5

At Italy’s 2019 EICMA Motorcycle Show, Husqvarna’s Norden 901 Concept bike was a deadset showstopper. And the ongoing buzz this machine has generated ever since is almost without precedented. Perhaps that’s got something to do with the bike’s unique aesthetics. Or the fact its name translates to “north” in both German and Swedish languages. Or because it’s Husqvarna’s first foray into the larger capacity adventure bike market. For whatever reason, Husky’s 901 Norden seems to have evoked the spirit of two-wheeled exploration more effectively than any adventure bike before it.

And now that a new series of YouTube videos has appeared with a fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into the 901’s conception, design philosophy and evolution, there’s a widespread expectation that the release of the production model is imminent. So, is it?
