DUCATI’S DRE ADV ACADEMY & ADV EXPERIENCES
Over three weekends, two different adventure programs took place; each offering an unforgettable Ducati experience – the DRE (Ducati Rider Experience) Adventure Academy and Adventure Experience programs of Ducati Australia and New Zealand, which kicked off in both NSW and Victoria.
With the NSW events taking place in the Hunter Valley and Byron Bay regions, both gave Ducati riders a solid taste of the adventure lifestyle – all under the guidance of Ducati product expert and chief instructor, Nick Selleck, and his team.
Some 25 riders took part in the Adventure Academy, exploring a combination of sealed roads and unsealed trails across 200km in the Hunter Valley wine region, and 160km in the Byron Bay hinterland, respectively. Ducati’s Adventure Experience, meanwhile, incorporated test-ride programs and hosted close to 100 riders across the two locations in the same regions. This is in addition to the 60-plus riders who took part in the Adventure Experience in the Macedon Ranges in Victoria earlier in the year.
According to Nick Selleck, “What impressed me most about the Victorian and New South Wales Adventure Experience programs was the type of riders who joined us: many being predominantly road riders wanting to learn more about adventure touring and how Ducati caters to this type of riding. This is precisely why the DRE exists; to learn by doing, and to ride our products the way they’re meant to be ridden.”
While the Ducati Adventure Experience programs are now complete for 2023, another Victorian DRE Adventure Academy will be offered later in the year, with details to be released closer to the program commencement.
