Chad Reed to race 2013 Monster Energy Cup

TwoTwo Motorsports’ Chad Reed has confirmed that he’ll be racing the 2013 Monster Energy Cup at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, October 19. Watch the video interview below to hear his thoughts on the event.

Reed contested the Monster Energy Cup for the first time in 2012, where he finished an impressive fourth Overall, as he made his professional return to racing after spending close to eight months off the bike with injuries sustained earlier in the year. The Australian currently sits 16th Overall in the 450 class of the 2013 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, 209 points behind series leader, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.

Will he ditch this year’s outdoor campaign completely, and turn his attention to the Cup and the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series? We’ll see…
