Bilko confident of being back on the bike for Melbourne Nitro Circus Live shows

FMX star Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams brushed off a mishap in last weekend’s Nitro Circus Live Tour show in Adelaide and is eager to be back to his best in Melbourne.

Williams tweaked his knee during a jump during Saturday night’s show but forged on, performing a few more tricks for the appreciative crowd.

A trip to a specialist revealed some previously undiscovered ligament damage in his knee which was swollen and inflamed.

He had the excess fluid drained today and is undergoing physical therapy to ensure a speedy recovery ahead of the three-show Melbourne stopover of the tour.

“It’s been pretty painful but I’ve been doing all the right things to manage it and get the swelling down,” said Bilko.

“The specialist said the bone bruising could show up on scans for a few weeks to come but it’s just like any bruise, if you can handle the discomfort – and I can – you’ll be okay.

“I’m looking forward to getting back out there for the Melbourne shows, it’s been an awesome tour and has had a great response from crowds.

“Riding with (Travis) Pastrana has been great, we’ve put our heads together on a few things and everyone seems stoked with the outcome.”
