So, you’ve checked out the parts that Geoff Ballard has fitted to 2021 Beta X-Trainer 300, but how does this unique machine perform – both in tight terrain and on open trail? As GB explains, the X-Trainer may have a low seat height, super-plush suspension and smooth, tractable power, but that sure doesn’t mean it’s limited to inexperienced riders. Having spent four months with Beta’s X-Trainer, Ballard reckons it’s one of the most versatile bikes he’s ever ridden, and says it comes as no surprise that it’s Beta’s biggest-selling model in Australia.
