FIRST LOOK: BETA MY2025 EVO FACTORY RANGE

1 month ago | Words: Beta | Photos: Beta

Beta’s trial bike racing evolution is marked by the manufacturer’s pinnacle Evo Factory models. Impressive performances across international and national championships, Beta riders George Hemingway, Matteo Grattarola and Andrea Sofia Rabino highlight the bike’s exceptional rideability and performance. Here is your first look at the Italian brand’s MY2025 Evo Factory range.

The MY2025 features 5 models (125 2T, 200 2T, 250 2T, 300 2T and the 300 4T) in the Evo Factory range, each receiving a significant suspension upgrade. With the introduction of a new, larger-diameter fork, this upgrade delivers substantial improvements both in on-track performance and the ability to fine-tune settings.

The development of the front fork has been guided by the desire to create a product with a more rigid yet simultaneously lighter structure. Through the use of a special steel, the fork rod thickness has been reduced without compromising on strength, along with providing a greater internal diameter. The increased internal volume has allowed for the use of larger components, ultimately providing greater hydraulic flow rates for a more progressive response to compression and greater precision in setting customisation. Compared to the Evo, the new Factory model forks are specifically calibrated for racing as the different, longer cartridge significantly improves progressiveness or end-of-travel compression.

The single shock receives a new aluminium body, replacing the heavier steel of its predecessor to aid in reducing overall weight. The new suspension guarantees a more progressive response for the bike in compression and improved rebound management, simplifying “floating” between rocks and the ability to absorb significant impacts.

The Evo Factory models have traditionally been equipped with higher performance engines than the Evo models, and this characteristic is confirmed once again for the MY2025. And thanks to the reduced crankcase weight, titanium header and reduced alternating masses, the Factory models are more manageable while the engines guarantee improved performance and rideability.

Highlights of the new Evo Factory MY2025 models:

2-stroke:

  • Magnesium crankcase with a black finish design, providing a 1.35kg weight reduction and maximising the agility of the bike.
  • Trimmed clutch discs created specifically to maximise clutch precision and controllability in every possible situation. Specifically made to make the most extreme repetitive actions easier to manage, even at high RPM, and to ensure extreme precision every time.
  • Black anodised engine oil plugs.
  • Titanium exhaust which, on the 250/300 models, provides a weight reduction of over 600g – ensuring greater performance at medium-high engine speeds thanks to its greater internal diameter. The Evo Factory 125 features a titanium exhaust, though is a stand out feature from that of the larger engine sizes due to its internal structure. With an initial conical section (cylinder side), the 125 model boasts an increase in torque and acceleration at low RPM.

4-stroke:

  • Electronic control unit receives a higher power rating, which translates to improved spark stability and improved combustion at all engine speeds.
  • Lighter weight and higher performance titanium silencer providing an outlet for greater available power.

Suspension:

  • New fork architecture with an increased tube diameter to 39mm (1mm larger than the previous model), creating an increase in torsional rigidity at the front wheel to improve precision.
  • Operational asymmetry with the right stanchion containing the spring and therefore dedicated to the management of elastic damping. The left stanchion contains an open cartridge for hydraulic regulation, combined with a 12mm hard anodised rod (2mm larger than previous model).
  • Gold stanchions for aesthetic and functionality, created using a TiN treatment which provides low-friction properties to the fork.
  • Single shock with new aluminium body to reduce overall weight.

Other Features:

  • Steering yokes machined from billet with blue anodised finish, weighing 100g less than the standard Evo model.
  • Reikon handlebars in anodised blue colour.
  • Black anodised chain adjusters, handlebar end plugs and footpegs.
  • Version-specific red silicone radiator hoses offering improved cooling performance.
  • Galfer racing brake discs offering maximum braking power and light weight to maximise rideability.
  • BrakTec brake and clutch master cylinders.
  • Rear brake caliper with anti-vibration system for pads.
  • Excel wheels in anodised blue.
  • Michelin X-light tyres.
  • New graphics featuring a matte grey frame, and contrasting blue and red colours.

Pricing and availability to be confirmed early 2025.
