TESTED: 2021 WR450F & WR250F

Testing and reviewing modern-day dirt bikes is a lot of fun. But not many people do it very well. Or, more accurately, not many people are able to successfully translate that bike testing into useful information. Why? Because their feedback generally has more to do with regurgitating a manufacturer’s brochure claims than it does offering a candid insight into a bike’s character, and whether or not it’s likely to suit someone reading/watching the review.

Motology Film’s Adam Riemann, on the other hand, has developed a knack for giving his audience an authentic insight not only into a bike’s overall character, but also into its idiosyncrasies and personality traits – to get to know the thing’s good and bad points. And there’s probably no better example of this than a test he did earlier this year with Yamaha’s significantly upgraded 2021-model WR450F and its 250cc little bro, the WR250F – a test that turned out to be a world exclusive on the landmark new Yamahas, and has since racked up more than 100,000 views on Riemann’s YouTube channel.
