Wiping away dirt, dust and mud from smartphones about to get easier for dirt-bike enthusiasts following the announcement of a new glass weapon aimed to protect iPhone 6S/6 models. Australian-based technology company, Dog & Bone, has announced a new slim, waterproof, protective case featuring a first-of-its-kind pairing for the new iPhone 6S/6 with a flexible glass impact screen.

The Wetsuit Impact case for iPhone 6S/6 and 6S Plus/6 Plus models is water, shock, dirt and sandproof to help withstand knocks and bumps suffered on trail rides. The case exceeds tough Military Standards, can withstand drops of up to 6.6 feet and is waterproof at up to two metres. It has an Ingress Protection rating of 68 – the highest level of water and dust – making it ideal for dirt-bike fanatics.

The case blends the highest standard impact screen protection – 9H – with sophisticated protective technology, style and function. The flexible glass screen is finished with a high performance coating for resisting fingerprints, smudges, scratches and for touchscreen sensitivity and clarity. While a premium rubber overmolded bumper adds a second durable layer of protection, it also provides for a better grip, so you can keep a firm hold on your smartphone while shooting raw footage of your friends.

Lee Ranchod, Dog & Bone’s Founder and Director, says the new Wetsuit Impact case reflects the company’s mission to deliver all-protective cases to suit the way we live. “We love to push the boundaries of mobile technology and, by doing so, help to reshape its future,” Ranchod said. “This means listening to consumers and understanding their wants and experiences, and using the knowledge to develop innovative products that make available features and benefits previously not afforded. We know consumers want slim protection that is both functional and looks good. Two other priorities our customers have repeatedly told us they love when it comes to mobile protection is all-weather protection, and impact screen protection. It was an obvious choice, then, for us to marry the two together.”

As well as providing added screen protection, Ranchod said the flexible glass screen provided added benefits of touch screen sensitivity and maintained screen clarity. “Dirt and grime easily wipe clean rather than absorbing into the screen, discolouring it and affecting the user experience – a pet hate of standard film coverings.”

The Wetsuit Impact cases will be available in three colour options – Blackest Black, Silvertail and Electric Orange with an RRP of $99.95 AUD for 6S/6 models and an RRP of $119.95 AUD for 6S Plus/6 Plus models.
