The buzz surrounding the first-time addition of fuel injection to KTM’s 2018-model two-strokes has certainly diverted attention away from their four-stroke brethren in the past few months. But with four new-gen four-strokes in their range, consumers in the market for a KTM enduro thumper remain spoilt for choice.
So, how do you choose between these four cutting-edge and very capable four-strokes? And what considerations should you bear in mind when figuring out which capacity is likely to best suit your needs? To help answer those questions, we grabbed three models – all of which have all topped KTM’s enduro-model sales charts at some point in the past decade – and put them back-to-back at the recent 2017 Transmoto 8-Hour at Dargo.
