The Red Bull Hare Scramble is the climax of the annual Erzbergrodeo, and the toughest event on the Hard Enduro calendar. This year, the USA’s Cody Webb became the first American to grab a podium spot at the event with a second place. Webb caught Alfredo Gomez at Lazy Noon – the penultimate checkpoint of the 25 stages the riders had to negotiate on the gruelling course – while Graham Jarvis took home his third Red Bull Hare Scramble victory, grabbing first place by more than 30 minutes. Australia’s hopeful, the 2015 Transmoto 6-Hour, 2016 Transmoto 12-Hour and 2016 Transmoto 8-Hour Ironman-class winner, Kye Anderson, suffered due to heavy amounts of rider traffic, and was unable to break through for a real shot at contention.
