2013 Husqvarna TE449 & 511 Unveiled
Australia’s Husqvarna importers, the Paul Feeney Group (PFG), has announced the arrival of a limited shipment of 2013-model TE449 and 511 enduro models. They appear to only receive minor upgrades, but come with very aggressive price tags.
For 2013, both 449 and 511 get what are claimed to be tougher IPD (Intergrated Plastic Decal) tank graphics, new bar-bonded grips and a handlebar pad as standard equipment (finally!). Both models also come supplied with an Akrapovic racing exhaust free of charge.
PFG has confirmed super-competitive MSRPs (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices) of $10,795 and $10,995 for the TE449 and 511, respectively. That makes them some $1200 cheaper than the 2012-model TEs, and, Chinese-made Odes aside, the most affordable machines in their class. The TE449, for example, is priced $900 cheaper than the next cheapest 450cc enduro bike (Sherco’s $11,690 SE450i-Racing), $2000 cheaper than the 450s from KTM and Husaberg, $1200 cheaper than the biggest-selling bike in the class (Yamaha’s WR450F) and $2500 cheaper than the most expensive 450 in the class (TM’s $13,339 EN450Fi).
The second shipment of 2013 Husqvarnas will include the two-stroke WR250 and 300 enduro models, and the TC250 motocrosser, which are all scheduled to arrive in early September. The much-updated TE250 and 310 models are expected later in the year. You can check out the full 2013 Husqvarna range here.
