Wanna Ride The Jerkyls’ Sunday Slide?
Who are The Jerkyls? And what the hell is this “Sunday Slide” event that Transmoto has recently teamed up with The Jerkyls to stage on November 27 at the iconic Nepean Raceway? Glad you asked, cos tickets are now on sale and it’s likely to sell out fast!
For starters, Sunday Slide, presented by Shannons Insurance, sure ain’t your average day at the racetrack. As you’ll discover when you eyeball the event’s dedicated website, Sunday Slide is an event where a good yarn is valued just as much as a good lap. It’s a place where families and friends of dirt-bike enthusiasts, grease monkeys, senior citizens and hipsters all come together for a laugh and, of course, to ride dirt. It’s an inclusive, low-pressure event for newcomers and long-time lovers of dirt track racing, all of whom get the privilege of riding the hallowed turf that is Nepean Raceway, which will celebrate its 60th anniversary in a few years. The only condition is that riders are at least 16 years old and that their bike is a pre-’90s machine.
