Unit officially launch new t-shirt range – 420 Blitz

Unit Clothing is once again breaking ground, with the simultaneous world-wide release of its latest range, 420 Blitz, along with a sneak peak of the unique design process behind it.

Unit has released a video, featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Founder and Creative Director Paul Everest at work in his purpose built Design Immersion Pod.

Including a modified dentist chair, sound system and oxygen tank — it’s a design chair like no other.

“I’d always wanted to build the perfect design environment, a place where you can truly lose yourself in the design/creative process,” says Everest.

The latest release by the Gold Coast based brand, known for its creative and thought-provoking designs, is politically charged and characteristically conceptual.

“Unit has a voice or a ‘canvas’ in its t-shirts and we often use art and/or humour to get a message across,” says Everest.

The Addicted Tee is one of several concept tees in the 420 Blitz range.

“The Global Financial Crisis was caused by the sudden spike in the price of Crude Oil,” says Everest.

“Perhaps with more truth from our leaders, we’d have been intelligent enough to push for green energy 30 years ago, instead of having to send our young men overseas with rifles.”

The Assange Tee another example, with proceeds being donated to WikiLeaks.

“We’re not trying to glorify Mr Assange, we simply support what he stands for — the truth.

“The government holds back information, spins facts and spends less on education, reducing the population’s ability for critical thinking.

“Call me crazy, but I want to know what the government I elected is doing with the money I give them each year.”

The Blitz range is available at selected retailers and online at www.unitriders.com
