Transmoto 8-Hour @ Coonabarabran

Now that we’ve got official sign-off from MNSW, local council and key event partners, we’re thrilled to announce that the 2017 Transmoto 8-Hour on July 15-16 will be based out of “Goanna Tracks” at Coonabarabran – which sits on the divide between the Central West and North West Slopes regions of NSW. This epic riding facility is located 450km north-west of Sydney; a 1600-acre property that features 65km of premium enduro loops, plus Junior and Senior motocross tracks, a sand track and, of course, a heap of dedicated trails and grasstrack that will be custom-built specifically for the 2017 Transmoto 8-Hour, powered by KTM & Husqvarna.

Admittedly, Coonabarabran is not just around the corner from the undisclosed “Mid-North Coast” venue we’ve been spruiking for our July-based 8-Hour. We could claim we’ve simply been throwing you off the geographic scent to retain some mystique around the inaugural event in the region. But the fact of the matter is that, after weighing up the venues on offer, Coona’s Goanna Tracks kept coming up trumps in every respect. Plus, we’re excited for the fact that the 2017 8-Hour at Coona will be the first time a Transmoto event gets some ochre Outback soil between its toes.
