Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Justin Barcia was crowned the King of Genova in Italy over the weekend, going 2-1 ahead of teammate Trey Canard (1-2) and Wil Hahn (3-3). Pretty cool to see Honda-mounted riders go 1-2-3, eh? This weekend, European SX racing continues in Bercy, Paris. The Honda-mounted trio from Genova will be in attendance, as well as big names including Gautier Paulin, Jordi Tixier, Andrew Short and AMA rookie, Cooper Webb. It’s going to be a good one.

It seems as though the rumours surrounding Davi Millsaps and TwoTwo Motorsports are starting to disintegrate. Millsaps is likely to stay on board his Rockstar Racing KTM, and it looks like Reed will be the sole rider for TwoTwo Motorsports, again. Reedy, the master of social media, posted a quick Instagram video of him riding a bike with blank white plastics last Friday, which wasn’t fooling anyone with a sharp eye. He was on a Kawasaki, as we’ve all been hearing. Now we just wait for the details to drop… Check out this week’s USA Insider for more on what’s happening in the US right now – which isn’t much!

If you’re following Cheyne Boyd on Instagram, you would have noticed that he’s been riding a Suzuki around Kade Mosig’s SX track over the last couple of weeks. It’s Josh Hill’s Aussie race bike, but we’re hearing that since 18-year-old Sam Martin was forced to go under the knife after Phillip Island’s SX rounds, Boydy may fill the vacant Hart & Huntington/InsureMyRide/DPH Motorsports Suzuki at the final round of the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship in Toowoomba, Qld, next weekend. We weren’t able to get a hold of Boydy for a comment, but we’ll let you know as we hear more.
Williams Event Management (WEM) announced last night that the 2014 Monster Energy MX Nationals will be run with different formats. And no, we don’t just mean different to the two 30-minute moto format used this year. We mean that five rounds of next year’s series will be run with a two-moto format, and the other five will be run with a three-moto format. Interesting, eh? Stay tuned, as we’ll have more details for ya’ll soon.

Aussie rider, Todd Waters, posted this shot on Instagram earlier today of his 2014 Red Bull Ice One Husqvarna Factory Racing FC 450. It looks trick, right?

While we’re on the subject of sick-looking bikes, don’t go past this fire-breathing 2011 KTM 65SX. It’s freakin’ mean, and worth checking out if you’re a young-gun – or a parent looking to spend a few dollars this Christmas.

The opening round of the 2013 Queensland Supercross Championship went down over the weekend, and it was Jake Moss and Brenden Harrison who walked away with respective Pro Open and Pro Lites honours. From what we’ve heard, it was a ripper of an event, and everyone who was involved can’t wait for Round 2, which is taking place this Saturday in Leyburn. If you’re in the area, check it out.

Who’s watched Red Bull’s latest creation, Straight Rhythm? If you haven’t, click here and get with the times, man… Some of the world’s top SX riders, including James Stewart, Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, Malcolm Stewart, Cole Seely, Jessey Nelson and Justin Bogle ride this purpose-built half-a-mile-long straight rhythm section, to create one rad video. Saying it without actually saying it, Red Bull based the concept on the Nintendo game, Excitebike, which was released in 1985. If you don’t know what Excitebike is, go back in time and check out this video, man…

After taking the off-road world by storm this year, Daniel Milner has extended his relationship with the CDR Yamaha Off Road Racing outfit for another season. 22-year-old Milner won this year’s Australian Off Road Championship, Australian 4-Day Enduro, Victorian Off Road Championship and claimed second Overall at the 2013 International Six-Days Enduro, and won the E2 class. It was an amazing year for him, and while he received offers from both teams in Australia and overseas, he felt re-signing with Craig Dack’s team was the way to go. Whether he’ll race aboard a 250cc or 450cc bike is yet to be decided, but Milner has made it clear that he will be racing a 2014 YZ-F model, and not a WR450F. You grab extensive details on Milner’s signing here.

Valley Force Husaberg rider, Mitch Harper, will this weekend line up for his first test since fracturing his spine back in April, when he fronts the 2013 Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro, north of Melbourne. Harper, who won the inaugural event in 2010, set the fastest Prologue time in last year’s event before DNF-ing with a broken hand, before he fractured his T7 and T12 vertebrae in a practice crash in Sweden this year. The 21-year-old has worked hard to get back to the level he’s at now, but whether he’s ready to race or not, only Sunday’s event will tell.

The Wildwood event marks the unofficial start of the Australian Extreme Enduro Season and this year’s event will continue on from the extra meaty line-up of years gone by, with 2012 winner, Aussie Matt Phillips joined by two legends of international extreme enduro racing, Husaberg Extreme team riders, Alfredo Gomez and 2011 Wildwood winner, Graham Jarvis. “It’s good to be back in Australia,” said Jarvis. “I’ve been here for a couple of weeks riding and coaching in both Queensland and Tasmania, so I’ve got to see some of the country while I’ve been here. I had a win here two years ago but it could be much tougher competition this year as Gomez is here and Matt is going to be real strong. Wildwood is different to most events we do in that it opens up the field and makes for good racing. I think I’m going to have to be in top form to win it this year.”

Motorcycling Australia (MA) has announced that an all-new Under 19s class will be included in the 2014 Australian Off Road Championship, among other class changes. MA Event Coordinator, Denise Hore, said the commission has been discussing a new class for the championship for some time, and was happy it was approved for next year’s championship. “The new class will allow riders coming out of the Juniors to compete against their peers, without being thrust into the big league which has discouraged many from continuing to compete in the series.” said Hore. We’re yet to find out if the races will be run separately, or if they’ll be run with the Seniors and just have their points tallied separately, but when we know, we’ll tell you.

HSE Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Ben Grabham has continued his winning form, powering his 2014 KTM 500EXC to victory in the 2013 Gascoyne Dash desert race over the weekend. Grabham prevailed by over ten minutes in the event, which is situated between the seaside town of Carnarvon and Gascoyne Junction, WA. For the full results, click here.

Claiming his third consecutive victory in the prestigious Swedish event, Pela Renet won the 2013 Gotland Grand National over the weekend, giving Husqvarna the first win of its new era. It’s rather fitting that the bike should win its first major event in Sweden, given the brand’s rich history there. Intent on launching Husqvarna’s 2014 FE 450 with a winning debut, Renet set about claiming his third consecutive win in determined style. Starting the three-hour race inside the top five, the Frenchman quickly worked his way into the lead during lap one and held on tight.

Nasty… Motorex KTM Racing Team Manager, Rob Twyerould, had a pretty decent MTB crash last week, and was left with a broken collarbone, hip and femur. He was on a 25km track in Adelaide, and after he lost his front end and crashed, he managed to get up and ride a further 10km. Then his muscles cooled down and the pain kicked in, so he went straight to the hospital and got him screwed and wired up. You’re a tough one, RT!
