TESTED: YAMAHA’S 2025 TENERE 700

First released in 2020, Yamaha’s parallel-twin-powered Tenere 700 was a landmark machine – in terms of both its performance and its sales success. Now, five years down the track, Yamaha has thrown a bunch of upgrades at this much-revered adventure model – to its engine, suspension, bodywork and electronics. But in doing so, has Yami managed to improve the Tenere and, at the same time, retain the essence of what made it so popular in the first place (so as not to alienate the huge cohort of ‘Tenere Tragics’)?

After we tested the new “T7” in a range of road and off-road terrain for a few days, here’s how and where we reckon it improves on its predecessor…
