Taddy on a hot streak, Endurocross three in a row

Taddy Blazusiak has claimed his third consecutive win in the ’10 US Endurocross championship. His latest victory came in Indianapolis where the KTM Enduro Factory Team rider delivered another dominant performance to comfortably finish ahead of Kyle Redmond and Kevin Rookstool. Although unable to secure the fastest time in the qualifying Hot Lap session – a mistake and a loss of speed in the track’s one and only sand corner made sure of that – Taddy comfortably topped his heat race. Earning himself the second place pick of the start for the main event Taddy once again got a great jump out of the gate and rounded the first turn level with team-mate Mike Brown. With Brown making a costly mistake only a short while afterwards Taddy’s next closest competitor Geoff Aaron also ran into troubles allowing Taddy a relatively easy time of things at the front of the race. Focusing on not making any costly mistakes Blazusiak opened up a commanding lead before claiming win number three and another maximum points haul. With three wins from three starts so far in this years US Endurocross series Taddy now holds a 30-point advantage at the top of the series standings. Round four of the US Endurocross series takes place in Washington on September 11.

Taddy Blazusiak: ‘What can I say, it was another great night for me. Pretty much everything went perfectly, I really enjoyed the racing, and I came away from the race with another win and a bigger points lead. I would say that it was my easiest main event win so far this year. I was right there with Mike Brown off the start, almost level, and settled in right behind him out of the first corner. Mike made a mistake and went down only a few corners afterwards, which put me into the lead and with a clear track ahead of me. Geoff Aaron ran into some problems after that, which put him out of contention, so I was alone out front. I just did what I had to do after that and made sure I didn’t make any big mistakes. I was really pleased with my speed and my consistent lap times. It was great to claim another win.
