Marvin Musquin’s injury update

Reigning MX2 world champion, Marvin Musquin, has undergone an MRI scan to check the extent of damage to his right knee and doctors have confirmed that he will need surgery to correct the ligament damage.

Doctors say Musquin will be able to have the operation on December 6 and will then undergo two weeks of rehabilitation, followed by concentrated physiotherapy.

The Red Bull KTM factory rider injured his knee at the Paris Bercy Supercross event when he put his right leg down hard during the race.

Unless Musquin has extraordinary healing abilities, you can count on him missing the start of the 2011 AMA Supercross series, with the opener on January 8 in Anaheim.
