Transmoto – Australia’s leading dirt bike media and events company – is on the hunt for an ambitious, content-savvy operator to join our team in the role of Digital Content Creator. The role would best suit a contractor or someone looking for part-time hours, and is located in Mona Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches (though we’re open to remote for the right candidate). 

Essentially this role will work closely with our editorial team and our key clients to source and create content to be posted across Transmoto’s digital platforms (transmoto.com.au and all social media platforms).

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of content posting (eg – knows WordPress and social media channels Instagram/Facebook/YouTube). Ideally you are hooked on dirt bikes as this job will give you direct access to the motorcycle industry. One day, you’ll be writing creative articles for Transmoto’s website, and the next you could be editing video content shot at Transmoto Enduro Events. You’ll work closely with a small team of motivated and talented content and marketing creators, plus get out to work at Transmoto Enduro events in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. 

THE BONES OF THE JOB

  • Create original, timely content for the Transmoto editorial website and amplify across Transmoto social media platforms, such as:
    • New product drops
    • Test and review products
    • Test and review dirt bikes
  • Edit video and image content and leverage across Transmoto’s social media channels
    • Understand what will drive and engage audiences on Transmoto channels
  • Help manage the flow of client content across Transmoto media channels
  • Work closely with Transmoto Brand Manager to meet key client deliverables (and report on monthly leveraged content)
  • Repurposing historic/evergreen content 
  • Work alongside Transmoto Digital Marketing Manager to assist in the communications deliverables for Transmoto events and other marketing initiatives
  • Attend Transmoto Enduro Events where applicable
  • Attend Transmoto editorial shoots where applicable and report on bike launches, new product initiatives, any other client-related activities as directed by editorial team

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Underlying passion for action sports and the action sports industry
  • Understand creating and curating content on digital platforms
  • Basic-medium understanding of the motorcycle industry
  • Must have a passion / knowledge of dirt bikes
  • Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram/Facebook/YouTube)
  • Must have a firm grasp on writing and know how to knock together content
  • Understand Photoshop (or other image manipulation software) and prepare images for posting across websites and social media
  • Must know how to use WordPress
  • Video creation capabilities a bonus
  • Graphic design a bonus
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Must be self-driven, able to prioritise and manage your time well, and have great communication skills

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reporting to Managing Director
  • Frequent collaboration with Brand Manager, Digital Marketing Manager and broader Transmoto team
