Supercross Class Stats: Oakland

The first race was held in Oakland on January 18, 1979, and Jimmy Weinert won on a Kawasaki.
This will be the fourth time a Supercross class race has been held in Oakland.
In 1980 Kent Howerton won on a Suzuki.
In 1979 Jimmy Weinert used a paddle tire to win on the all sand track in Oakland. Later that year, Weinert won the final Supercross class race of his career in Daytona.
In 1984 Ron Lechien won on a Honda, marking his first win on a Honda
