SPRINGING BACK – MXSTORE WRECKERS TO CHECKERS EPISODE 4

3 years ago | Words: Miller Mendham | Photos: MXstore

MXstore Wreckers To Checkers continues in episode 4, today; Micmac uses his phone a friend and takes his RM250’s leaky forks to MXRP for a complete suspension overhaul. Nigel is still playing catch-up but is taking Andrew Short’s advice on the CRF450 and the more he tears it down, he begins to realise how much care the previous owner had for his bikes. Dylan checks out from the shop, and takes his KX250 suspension over to a local guru for a service and freshen up.

While all the other boys are shrinking their budget, Nigel is the sole competitor to have only spent money to purchase the bike. Although he seemingly is the most ahead in the books, the lack of work going into his bike leaves him having to play catch up to the other two boys.

As we are now at week 4 of the competition, the three shrinking budgets are:

  • Mick: $1,450
  • Nigel: $3,000
  • Dylan: $2,570

While Nigel is behind on the build, it has given him time to find out the direction he is wanting to take with his CRF250, and after taking onboard Andrew Short’s advice he thinks he is onto a winner. Watch episode 4 here:
