RIDE IMPRESSION: 2026 YAMAHA YZ450F

9 months ago | Words: Jenna Post | Photos: Yamaha Motor Australia

Transmoto’s John Prutti recently threw a leg over the all-new 2026 Yamaha YZ450F during the official Australian media launch at Appin, NSW. As one of the first riders in the country to put laps on Yamaha’s next-generation motocross weapon, Prutti offers his first impressions on the machine that arrives with significant mods. So many, in fact, that it’s debut hydraulic clutch almost goes unnoticed!

With compliancy at its developmental core, in short the 2026 YZ450F comes with an all-new frame designed to sharpen handling, revised KYB suspension, engine package updates, and bodywork refinements. This bike represents one of the most comprehensive overhauls in recent years! Hear what Prutti had to say after his first ride aboard Yamaha’s new blue beast.
