REVEALED: DUCATI’S 2027 MULTISTRADA V4 PIKES PEAK

Dressed in a new livery borrowed from Ducati’s factory Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R race bikes, the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak doubles down on its sportbike credentials – and can be personalised even further via the Ducati Factory-Made programme.

Just how much race bike can you squeeze into a crossover? In its Centenary year, Ducati’s answer is to dress the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak – the Superbike-engined, 17-inch-wheeled road-burner of the Multi family – in colours lifted straight off its MotoGP and WorldSBK weapons. Aussie pricing and arrival timing are yet to be confirmed, but here’s what Ducati has divulged about this purpose-built weapon…

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 24 September 2026 – In its Centenary year, Ducati unveils a new livery for the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, drawing its inspiration from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R machines raced by the official Ducati teams in the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships.

The V4 Pikes Peak is the Multistrada that celebrates success in the legendary hillclimb event, and it descends directly from the original Multistrada 1200 concept. It is a high-performance crossover featuring the heart of a Ducati Superbike, 17-inch wheels, a single-sided swingarm, long-travel sports suspension, protective bodywork, and an ergonomic riding position – plus the ability to mount luggage – making it suitable for touring as well.

The Pikes Peak’s sporty nature is now reinforced by an even stronger link to the official race bikes from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. The exclusive livery, created by the Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance, blends distinctive elements from Ducati’s MotoGP and Superbike machines into a design that highlights its racing character. The colour combinations and surface treatments echo Ducati’s racing aesthetic, creating a powerful sense of movement across the entire bike. The result is a modern, dynamic and instantly recognizable graphic scheme that expresses the model’s racing DNA in every detail.

To further highlight its innate sportiness, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equipped with numerous carbon-fibre components and a street-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer. Other distinctive aesthetic features include a low smoked windscreen, unmistakable gold anodizing on the Öhlins fork sliders, a seat featuring the V4 logo and the Ducati Corse badge applied to the “beak.”

Thanks to the Ducati Factory Made programme, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak can be configured with near-bespoke attention to detail, eliminating the need for aftermarket modifications. For the Pikes Peak, customers can complement the livery with red forged wheels and matching red (or black) brake calipers, choose seats of varying heights, expand the carbon-fibre package and install auxiliary lights or a full luggage set (side panniers and top case).

SPORTING DNA

The V4 Pikes Peak is the Ducati designed for those who love the more dynamic side of the Multistrada – enjoying its performance on winding mountain passes and captivated by the allure of the single-sided swingarm and the precision of 17-inch wheels with lightweight forged rims. It is the Multistrada for enthusiasts seeking a crossover that offers an exhilarating ride while remaining elegant and comfortable.

To this end, the model’s chassis is built around a 17-inch front wheel to ensure great precision and responsiveness for the rider. The bike is equipped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV sports-touring tyres (120/70-17 front and 190/55-17 rear) and features five-spoke forged aluminium wheels.

Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension provides support during sporty riding while simultaneously offering greater comfort for touring. The system operates using “event-based” logic – similar to the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S – self-adjusting according to the specific riding phase. Finally, the Electronic Combined Braking System offers a front-to-rear strategy that engages the rear brake even when only the front brake control is used.

The 1158 cc V4 Granturismo engine delivers 170CV (125kW) at 10,750rpm and 123.8Nm at 9000rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve to ensure a smooth and progressive response across all rev ranges. Thanks to the counter-rotating crankshaft – derived from Ducati Corse’s experience in MotoGP – which works ‘against’ the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, the engine helps to improve the V4 Pikes Peak’s handling, making sporty riding even more enjoyable.

The Race Riding Mode highlights this version’s sporty nature. The Race map introduces a racing-style strategy for the rev limiter; it intervenes more gradually than on the standard Multistrada V4, alerting the rider earlier and allowing for more effective gear shifting in the upper rev range. The quickshifter features dedicated calibration that enables highly aggressive downshifting, complemented by an even more direct throttle response in High Power Mode.

ERGONOMICS

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak features ergonomics specifically designed to ensure maximum control and optimize lean angles. The riding position differs from that of the Multistrada V4, with footpegs positioned higher and further back to increase maximum lean angle and facilitate body movement, while the handlebar is lower, narrower and features a flatter bend. This ergonomic combination results in a better feeling during sporty riding, while still maintaining a good level of comfort.

SAFETY & TECHNOLOGY

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak naturally retains the advanced, sophisticated electronic package of the Multistrada V4 S. This includes – among other features – standard front and rear radar technology, enabling Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) functionality, as well as the introduction of Forward Collision Warning.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is also designed to allow Ducatisti to travel without limits and with complete peace of mind, thanks to industry-leading service intervals (valve clearance checks every 60,000 km) and the 4EVER Ducati and Roadside Assistance programmes. The former offers a four-year warranty with unlimited mileage. The Roadside Assistance programme, available on all Multistrada V4 models, supplements the standard warranty to include roadside assistance, transport for the rider and passenger, a replacement vehicle and accommodation in a four-star hotel should any issues arise during the cover period. All this comes with the peace of mind provided by a network of over 800 official Ducati dealers in more than 90 countries worldwide.
