PW50 … MY FIRST DIRT BIKE
If you’ve been around dirt bike circles for a while, you will have probably come across a bloke called Adam Riemann. He’s a fitter and turner turned Pro dirt-bike racer turned moto journo turned global filmmaker turned house builder turned family man. These days, based back in his homeland of Western Australia, he owns an enviable parcel of moto-riding paradise with a variety of bush and MX tracks, from which he pumps out a prolific smorgasbord of video edits for the nearly 600,000-strong audience on his YouTube channel, Motology Films’ ARiemann1.

With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, we couldn’t help but revisit this heartwarming short Motology Films’ video, which documents the two-wheeled journey of discovery of Adam’s five-year-old daughter, Ayla – from her very first ride to becoming a competent little log-jumping moto-gypsy. And all within two weeks!

“Before Ayla got on that PW50, she’d never operated a motorcycle. And yet somehow she was riding competently within two weeks. I’m serious; that footage was 100 percent organically captured in a two-week window from her very first ride,” an animated Reimann told Transmoto. “Initially, I had the throttle screw set at dad’s flip-flop settings so I could keep up [laughs]. But before long, I had to de-restrict the thing so she could ride it properly. Just pure intuition and joy. It was incredible to witness.”

Warning! This vid will probably have the missus in tears…
