Product: Alpinestars Fluid Tech Carbon Kneebrace

A product the Transmoto team has tried and tested, and would recommend to a mate…

WHAT IS IT?

The Fluid Tech Carbon is Alpinestars’ all-new, top-of-the-line, ultra-lightweight, carbon polymer, off-the-shelf kneebrace that offers a highly customisable fit.

HOW WE RATE IT:

Considering the cost of a knee reconstruction can quickly slash a number of zeros from your bank account, investing in a decent set of kneebraces is really a no-brainer. This brace offers an ultra-lightweight profile thanks to its carbon polymer construction. Serious thought has been given to the adjustability and fit. It uses a snap-lock system to fasten, with Velcro tab adjusters on the opposite side that allow the wearer to quickly and easily customise the fit. By using Velcro and a snap-lock fastener, they were able to reduce the overall profile compared to ratchet systems. Thanks to the PU memory foam, movement is unrestricted and comfortable and it is barely noticeable while riding. The brace’s range of motion can be restricted for riders who have an existing knee injury, or who are paranoid about hyperextension.

PRICE: $449 (each)

ALPS SAYS:

The Fluid Tech helps reduce the risk and severity of knee injury by preventing excessive hypertension of the knee in the event of an accident. Thanks to innovative engineering the Fluid Tech is ultra-lightweight and offers a highly customizable and secure fit, while affording improved directional movement of the knee articulation while riding.
