MX Nationals – Rd 2, Fairbairn Park, ACT
The second stop of the eight-round Rockstar MX Nats rolled into ACT’s revamped Fairbairn Park in mid April, with two foreigners – Kawasaki’s Scotsman, Billy Mackenzie, and KTM’s American, PJ Larsen – leading the points standings in the Open and Lites classes, respectively. But crashes and inconsistent results in the day’s hectic four-moto schedule saw them both relinquish their coveted red plates. Todd Waters claimed it in the Open class, while Kirk Gibbs snuck his nose in front in the Pro Lites.
