If you’re a follower of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the name Pauls Jonass should be a familiar one because this young talent has been dominating the MX2 class over in Europe so far this season (Jonass carries a 47-point lead heading into Belgium’s Round 14 of the 20-round series).

If I didn’t race dirt bikes professionally, I’d probably be…
Actually, I think I would still be studying as a student. But in saying that my dream has always been to a pro motocross racer, so I haven’t had much time to think about a life away from racing.

Three things people don’t know about me are…
1. I like fishing.
2. I love to eat.
3. I’m a pretty good cook.

The best thing about being a Red Bull KTM factory athlete is…
Having a professional team around me and of course the free Red Bull.

My most memorable race was…
My first GP win in Qatar 2017.

My fiercest rivalry is with…
Myself. I want to improve day by day and to do that I have to put the pressure on myself to perform.

If I was a series promoter, the first thing I’d do is…
Reduce general entry ticket prices for events to encourage more spectators at the races.

I escape from the grind of training and racing by…
Spending quality time with my family, fishing with mates, cooking food and laying in bed doing nothing.

I’m obsessed about…
Food!
